AMESim-based Study on Dynamic Behavior of Gripping Force of Coiled Tubing Injector Head

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
Many problems occur in the coiled tubing operation in oil and gas wells, including coiled tubing slipping, slippage and tubing bite, which seriously threaten the safety of the operation and the life of the coiled tubing.

Unraveling the Morphological and Functional Maturation Mechanisms Underlying Human Neural Development Using iPSCs‐Derived Neuronal Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs)‐derived neuronal model, Tian and colleagues reveal that voltage‐gated calcium channels Cav1.2 and Cav1.3, and their mediated calcium ion influx, are essential for early morphogenesis of human neuronal development, while ECEL1 underlies human neuronal functional developmental maturation through CALM3 ...

Design of Jar Tool for Coiled Tubing Drilling

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
In the coiled tubing drilling, due to the characteristics of the coiled tubing, friction self-locking is prone to occur after put on weight, which leads to problems such as low axial force transmission efficiency and difficulty in horizontal section ...

Early Detection of Cell Death Using Transmembrane Water Exchange Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cell death is important in both the development and treatment of cancer. In this study, it is demonstrated for the first time that a specific measurement of the transmembrane water exchange rate using magnetic resonance imaging can be used as an early marker of cell death in mammalian cells, in animals and in human patients. Abstract Cell death plays a

Calculation of Annular Flow Resistance of Coiled Tubing in Slimhole Based on Hyperbolic Model

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
Most of the researches on the annulus flow resistance in China are focused on the conventional drilling annulus flow resistance, few study is involved in the calculation of the annular flow resistance of coiled tubing drilling in ø89.0 mm slimhole.

Water‐Efficient Smart Drip Irrigation Enabled by a Low‐Power and High‐Efficiency Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Water scarcity poses a critical threat to global food security. A low‐power, flexible electromagnetic actuator is presented for smart drip irrigation systems. The device achieves precise, wide‐range flow modulation (0.05–5.8 mL/min) in response to real‐time plant demands, reducing water consumption compared to conventional flood irrigation.

Mini-rack testbed evaluation [PDF]

open access: yes
The goal was to characterize the Health Maintenance Facility (HMF)-like mini-racks and drawers onboard the KC-135 as a test bed for the Space Station Freedom HMF racks. An additional goal was to evaluate the attachments, mounting points, and inner drawer

NuSAP Safeguards Centriole Integrity to Mediate CEP57‐CEP152 Torus Recruitment for Proper Engagement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a novel role for the microtubule stabilizer NuSAP at centrioles. NuSAP depletion destabilizes the centriole's tubulin structure, causing premature disengagement, PCM defects, and mis‐localization of the CEP57‐CEP63‐CEP152 complex. By reinforcing centriole architecture, NuSAP enables early CEP57 loading and initiates a newly proposed ...
