Efficiency index and localization characteristics of magnetic stimulation coils

Proceedings of 17th International Conference of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2002
The authors have developed an efficiency index and excitation map to examine the efficiency and localization characteristics of magnetic stimulation. Coils with few turns are more efficient than coils with large number of turns; coils with small cross-section area are more efficient than coils with larger area.

Adverse pregnancy outcomes and the abnormal umbilical cord coiling index

Journal of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
BACKGROUNDS: The abnormal umbilical cord coiling index (UCI) may be one of the ways to predict adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study attempted to determine the association between abnormal UCI and maternal, fetal, and neonatal outcomes. METHODS: This longitudinal study was conducted on 400 women referred for delivery from April to August 2021. UCI was

Coiling Direction of Globigerina pachyderma as a Climatic Index

Science, 1959
An interdependence between the geographical distribution of dextral and sinistral populations of the planktonic foraminifer, Globigerina pachyderma , and sea surface-temperatures is demonstrated. It is inferred that changes in dominant coiling direction at lower levels in sediment cores from the North Atlantic ...

Adverse perinatal outcome in patients with an abnormal umbilical coiling index

Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1995
To evaluate perinatal outcome in neonates with hypocoiled and hypercoiled cords. From February 18 through June 13, 1994, 635 placentas from deliveries of at least 24 weeks' gestation were examined for umbilical coiling. The umbilical coiling index was calculated by dividing the total number of coils by the length of the cord.

The association Between Umbilical Coiling Index and Fetal Distress

2016
Introduction: It is well know that fetal distress is one of the important causes of fetus perinatal morbidity and mortality. In this study, we sought to evaluate the association between umbilical coiling index and fetal distress.Material and method:This was a case- control study conducted on 90 term pregnant women.

Umbilical Cord Coiling Index in Women of South-Eastern Nigeria

Journal of Women’s Health, Issues & Care, 2014
Umbilical Cord Coiling Index in Women of South-Eastern Nigeria Abnormal Umbilical Cord Coiling Index (UCI) is associated with adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes. This study was therefore conceptualized to determine the UCI values of parturients, and to identify the clinicodemographic variables and associated pregnancy outcomes in those at risk ...
