HSP70 governs permeability and mechanotransduction in primary human endothelial cells
HSP70 chemical inhibition reduces endothelial cell proliferation and increases permeability, the latter supported by normal interendothelial junctional protein distribution. HSP70 also plays a role in shear stress response, a hemodynamic force naturally present in blood vessels and correlated with vessel protection.

The Rationale of Crisis Management – On the Handling of Coincidence in Economic Situation [PDF]
The subject of this essay is too complex a problem as to cover all details in depth and, thus, draws its attention only to core aspects of the handling of coincidence leaving out sophisticated studies and analytic findings as well as detailed reference ...

Dark-Energy Dynamics Required to Solve the Cosmic Coincidence
Dynamic dark energy (DDE) models are often designed to solve the cosmic coincidence (why, just now, is the dark energy density $\rho_{de}$, the same order of magnitude as the matter density $\rho_m$?) by guaranteeing $\rho_{de} \sim \rho_m$ for ...

ABSTRACT Objective Prognostication of disease course and prediction of treatment response in multiple sclerosis is an unmet need. We compared the performance of serum neurofilament light chain Z scores (age‐ and BMI‐adjusted) with absolute concentrations for the prediction of response to disease‐modifying therapy.

Assessing a Mitochondrial Disease Treatment via a Novel Statistical Technique for Accelerometer Data
ABSTRACT Objective Therapeutic development for mitochondrial diseases, rare genetic disorders with pathogenic defects of oxidative phosphorylation, is hindered by unsatisfactory outcome measures. To address this problem, we provide the first clinical application of a novel, bias‐adjusted outcome measure of acceleration across a range of subjects ...

Coincidence theory for compact morphisms
In this paper we present several coincidence type results for morphisms (fractions) in the sense of Gorniewicz and Granas.

Geometric and homotopy theoretic methods in Nielsen coincidence theory
In classical fixed point and coincidence theory the notion of Nielsen numbers has proved to be extremely fruitful. Here we extend it to pairs (f_1, f_2) of maps between manifolds of arbitrary dimensions. This leads to estimates of the minimum numbers MCC(

ABSTRACT Objective Alexander disease (AxD) is a severe neurodegenerative disorder caused by gain‐of‐function mutations in the gene for GFAP, which lead to protein aggregation and a primary astrocytopathy. Symptoms vary, but failure to thrive (FTT) and frequent emesis are common and cause significant morbidity. Here we investigate GDF15, a member of the
