COINCIDENCE AND FIXED POINT THEOREMS ON PRODUCT SPACES

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 1997
Let \(X_1,X_2, \dots, X_n\) be metric spaces, \(\text{CL} (X_i)\) be the set of nonempty closed subsets of \(X_i\), \(i=1, \dots, n\), and \(H_i\) be the related Hausdorff metric. The authors, inspired by a result of \textit{H. Kaneko} and the reviewer [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 12, No. 2, 257-262 (1989; Zbl 0671.54023)] consider two systems of maps \(\{

Optimal coincidence points of proximal quasi-contraction mappings in non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of this paper is to present fuzzy optimal coincidence point results of fuzzy proximal quasi contraction and generalized fuzzy proximal quasi contraction of type− 1 in the framework of complete nonArchimedean fuzzy metric space.

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Wecken type problems for self-maps of the Klein bottle

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2006
We consider various problems regarding roots and coincidence points for maps into the Klein bottle K. The root problem where the target is K and the domain is a compact surface with non-positive Euler characteristic is studied.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Laser Metal Deposited Ti4822 Hollow Pipe: Experimental and Computational Modelling Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser metal deposition (LMD) of a crack‐free built Ti4822 alloys is challenging. This article reports outstanding characteristics of a hollow pipe that is built with LMD technology when a predicted, nontransformation substrate temperature of 800 °C is used.

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,

A Caseworker Like Me: Does the Similarity between Unemployed and Caseworker Increase Job Placements? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines whether the chances of job placements improve if unemployed persons are counselled by caseworkers who belong to the same social group, defined by gender, age, education, and nationality.

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...
