Sustainable Hydrogen Production by Glycerol and Monosaccharides Catalytic Acceptorless Dehydrogenation (AD) in Homogeneous Phase

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Sustainable hydrogen production can be obtained from hydogen‐rich biomass‐derived organic molecules through Acceptorless Dehydrogenation (AD) reactions. Glycerol and sugars are available in large quantities from industry and can be successfully used as substrates in AD protocols, in the presence of tailored, selective, easily tunable and thermally ...

Red blood cell endothelial nitric oxide synthase: A major player in regulating cardiovascular health

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Red blood cells (RBCs) have traditionally been seen as simple carriers of gases and nutrients in the body. One important non‐canonical function of RBCs in the cardiovascular system is the regulation of nitric oxide (NO) metabolism. It has been shown that RBCs can scavenge NO, transport NO metabolites and produce NO in hypoxic conditions ...

The effect of blast furnace coke quality on the possibility of its use

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2013
In the paper behavior of the blast-furnace coke in the high temperature was presented. Comparative analysis of the chemical composition of the blast-furnace coke and the heat treatment of it were done.

Stop telling me stories (she said)

open access: yes, 2007
I remember when I was young, an advertising billboard poster proudly proclaimed: Coke Adds Life. An anti-advertising group were always at the ready to delete a D and graffiti a cross over the F to create the more believable slogan: Coke Ads Lie. Take the

Molten‐Salt‐Mediated Chemical Looping Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane with In‐Situ Carbon Capture and Utilization

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
A sustainable alternative to steam cracking, the molten‐salt‐mediated oxidative dehydrogenation (MM‐ODH) of ethane (C2H6) in Li2CO3‐Na2CO3‐K2CO3 (LNK) couples thermal cracking with melt‐mediated CO2 capture to realize commercially competitive C2H4 and CO yields. LNK composition strongly influences MM‐ODH process outcomes.

Statistical assessment of coal charge effect on metallurgical coke quality

open access: yesProduction Engineering Archives, 2016
The paper studies coke quality. Blast furnace technique has been interested in iron ore charge; meanwhile coke was not studied because, in previous conditions, it seemed to be good enough.
