Decoking of fixed-bed catalytic reactors [PDF]
A mathematical model for the description of the non-steady state process of decoking of a fixed bed catalytic reactor is presented. The relevant dimensionless groups are identified and their influence on the process discussed.

The thermal diffusivity of MgO‐C refractories is highly sensitive to sample preparation and processing procedures. In this article, the effects of coking sequence, machining conditions, structural inhomogeneity, and graphite coating application on measurements using laser flash apparatus are systematically investigated.

We report a dual chemical looping/catalytic process coupling alkane dehydrogenation with aromatic alkylation over Cu‐mordenite, yielding up to 25% alkylated aromatics with >95% selectivity per cycle. In situ NMR, FTIR spectroscopy, and DFT show alkylation proceeds via a π‐bound Cu(I)–olefin intermediate and Brønsted acid sites.

Currently, conventional oil is used as the main source for the petrochemical industry. However, conventional oil’s capacity is declining, and that source will probably be exhausted in the near future. Heavy oil and petroleum residues have become a suitable alternative source to meet global energy demand. However, heavy oil and oil residues require many

Reversible Nature of Coke Formation on Mo/ZSM‐5 Methane Dehydroaromatization Catalysts
Non‐oxidative dehydroaromatization of methane over Mo/ZSM‐5 zeolite catalysts is a promising reaction for the direct conversion of abundant natural gas into liquid aromatics.

Even Better than the Real Thing [PDF]
In an era where the youth were obsessed with an appearance of success and being hip, when Coke finally altered its New Coke brand identity to appeal to the youth, they still could not make the youth accept New Coke. In the end when Coke had the chance to

Advances in the study of coke formation over zeolite catalysts in the methanol-to-hydrocarbon process [PDF]
Methanol-to-hydrocarbon (MTH) process over acidic zeolite catalysts has been widely utilised to yield many types of hydrocarbons, some of which are eventually converted into the highly dehydrogenated (graphitized) carbonaceous species (cokes). The coking

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Study on the vibration characteristics of coke pushing ram in the coke pushing process
Serious vibrations can occur in the coke pushing ram in the coke pushing process and may directly affect the regular production of coke oven, in order to avoid vibration, it is necessary to study the vibration characteristics of coke pushing ram. In this
