The Real Structure of Intergrown ZSM‐5/ZSM‐11 Industrial Zeolite Catalysts
Filtered electron microscopy images of intergrown ZSM‐5/ZSM‐11 catalysts reveal antiphase boundary defects (red curves 2 nm wide) formed of partial monolayers of ZSM‐11 linked by other defects. Some of these block diffusion along sinusoidal channels; others introduce larger channel intersections than in either zeolite, that can facilitate larger ...

Mitigating technology gaps' contribution to international income inequality
Abstract This replication study revisits a 2023 analysis by Sampson on the impact of international technology gaps on income inequality, trade, and wages. We extend the original framework by using broader patent metrics from PATSTAT, expanding the country sample and time frame, and testing alternative calibrations.

Microstructure and hydration of interstitial in clinkers produced over molten steel
Abstract Scalable electrical production of clinker is possible under reducing conditions, and the reactivity of C3A produced in such conditions has only been superficially described. We examined electric clinkers made over molten steel with a range of fineness and compared them against commercial clinkers.

The biophysical economic structure of four developed countries: Lessons for decarbonization
Abstract This study provides a comparative analysis of the biophysical economic structures of four developed economies—Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. We draw upon results from input–output models to map and analyze capital, energy, and carbon relationships in each economy.
