Stress relaxation analysis in cold rolled sheet
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1992Abstract The phenomenology, physical theory, test response, and engineering implications of stress relaxation and reviewed for the case of cold rolled metal sheet. Illustrative data and interpretations are cited for the case of a copper alloy commonly used in electrical connector applications, namely phosphor bronze.

Analysis of clad sheet bonding by cold rolling
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2000Abstract In this paper, clad sheet bonding by cold rolling has been analyzed in depth using the stream function method and the upper bound theorem. Not only have the curvature, the thickness ratio of the rolled product and rolling force, but also the locations of the neutral points and the bond point have been obtained.

Properties of cold-rolled high-strength steel sheets
Metallurgical Transactions A, 1976For high-strength steel sheets, a new concept has become necessary, viz, the relation between strength and formability. When the relation between tensile strength and elongation is appraised for ranking in terms of the strengthening mechanism, it is found that the substitutional solid-solution hardening type is excellent and the precipitation hardening ...

Modelling of Crown on Cold Rolled Aluminium Sheet
Materials Science Forum, 2013The quality demands of shape characteristics of strips have especially been increased recently by the modern industrial branches processing strips. The final shape of sheet is influenced by the construction and stiffness of mill stand and the shaping parameters through the deformation patterns of roll gap.

Analysis of Sheet Curvature in Asymmetrical Cold Rolling
Journal of Iron and Steel Research International, 2013Abstract In asymmetric cold rolling, the workpiece is often bent downwards or upwards. A two-dimensional explicit dynamic finite element model with Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) adaptive meshing technique has been employed to simulate asymmetrical sheet rolling, in which asymmetrical conditions are here due to different roll radii.

Flatness of Sheet and Strip in Cold Rolling
1973A short investigation is reported on the initiation of buckling in strip produced by rolls with excessive camber. A simple elastic analysis gives qualitative agreement with the experimental results, but still requires elaboration for quantitative predictions.
