Effect of Konjac Glucomannan Addition on Quality of Black Buckwheat Noodles

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
In order to improve the quality of black buckwheat noodles, this paper systematically investigated the effects of konjac glucomannan (KGM) addition on the solvent retention capacity (SRC) and mixing characteristics of black buckwheat mixed powder, as ...

Nanoparticle‐Mediated TIPE1 mRNA Delivery Enhances Paclitaxel Sensitivity in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Modulating RAB7A Ubiquitination‐Associated Stability and Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TIPE1m NPs nanoparticles restore TIPE1 expression, promote RAB7A ubiquitination and degradation, suppress autophagic flux, and resensitize paclitaxel‐resistant triple‐negative breast cancer to therapy. ABSTRACT Acquired paclitaxel (PTX) resistance remains a major obstacle in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) treatment.

Dual pKa Lipid Nanoparticles for Lung‐tropic mRNA Delivery and pH‐Programmed Endosomal Escape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles’ bottleneck lies in low endosomal escape efficiency and liver‐dominant delivery after intravenous administration. To overcome these limitations, we present a stepwise pH‐programmed lipid nanoparticle system enabled by our newly synthesized ionizable lipid.

Tau Aggregate Imaging and Transcriptomics of Alzheimer's Disease Brain at Different Stages of Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The protein aggregates and gene expression in the middle temporal gyrus (MTG) and somatosensory cortex (SOM) of the postmortem brains of 13 Alzheimer's disease patients were studied in detail, revealing that small hyperphosphorylated tau aggregates increase with Braak stage driven by microglial inflammation.

Characterization of off-flavor compounds in ready-to-heat roasted catfish after reheating by sensomics approach

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
Gas chromatography-electronic nose (GC-E-Nose), gc-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS), and gc-olfactory-mass spectrometry (GC-O-MS) techniques, along with odor recombination and omission experiments, were employed to characterize the off-flavors in ...

Beyond Probiotics: Postbiotics for Healthy Aquaculture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This critical review assesses limitations of probiotics and proposes postbiotics, preparations of inanimate microorganisms and their metabolites, as a more stable, controlled, and biosafe formulation. Postbiotics offer significant advantages during industrial aquafeed production and storage. However, their practical implementation is currently hindered

Pre-Transport Salt Baths Mitigate Physiological Stress and Tissue Damage in Channel Catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) Fingerlings: Evidence from Multi-Biomarker Assessment and Histopathology

open access: yesAnimals
Effective transport strategies are critical for the survival and welfare of juvenile Ictalurus punctatus, but the effects of pre-transport salt bath treatments remain uncertain. In this study, we systematically evaluated the effects of pre-transport salt

Temporal Trajectories of the Tau Aggregate Interactome Reveal Stage‐Specific Vulnerabilities in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tau populations with different aggregation states associate with distinct sets of proteins in the Alzheimer's disease brain. Proteomic discovery combined with single‐molecule analysis in neurons reveals dynamic associations involving proteostasis, metabolism and RNA biology.

The Deubiquitinase UCHL1 Drives Susceptibility to Atrial Fibrillation by Stabilizing CaMKII‐δ

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
UCHL1 is highly upregulated in mice and patients with AF. UCHL1 directly binds to and removes K48‐linked polyubiquitin chains from CaMKII‐δ at K251 and enhances CaMKII‐δ stability, which activates RyR2, disrupts Ca2+ handling, and promotes AF. These findings establish UCHL1 as a critical regulator of CaMKII‐δ stability and AF‐related Ca2+ handling ...
