Changes in Physicochemical Properties of Wild and Cultivated Blackberry during Postharvest Cold Storage

open access: yesJournal of Food Quality and Hazards Control, 2021
Background: Blackberry is a seasonal harvested fruit that is also very fragile and perishes quickly. A comparative study was conducted to find out influence of cold storage on physicochemical parameters of wild and cultivated blackberry over a period of ...

Cold Working Room Temperature Increased Moderate/severe Qualitative Work Stressor Risk in Air Traffic Controllers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Back ground: Air traffic controllers (ATCs) have a high level of responsibility which may lead to qualitative work load stressor (QLWS). This study identified several risk factors related to moderate qualitative work load stressor among the ATCs.Methods:

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Thermogenesis and some rearing strategies of dairy calves at low temperature – a review

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2019
An efficient management of the newborn dairy calf around birth results in reduced rearing costs and increased future milk yield. To maintain young calves healthy and maximize performance and profit it is important to create an environment that maintain ...

The Ethylene Signaling Pathway Negatively Impacts CBF/DREB-Regulated Cold Response in Soybean (Glycine max)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
During cold stress, soybean CBF/DREB1 transcript levels increase rapidly; however, expected downstream targets appear unresponsive. Here, we asked whether the ethylene signaling pathway, which is enhanced in the cold can negatively regulate the soybean ...

Fiber optic health monitoring and temperature behavior of bridge in cold region

open access: yes, 2017
The objectives of this research are (a) to establish a structural health monitoring system for bridge safety evaluation that is suitable for cold, remote regions and (b) to identify the bridge responses under variations in temperature.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Polydatin ameliorates ovalbumin‐induced asthma in a rat model through NCOA4‐mediated ferroautophagy and ferroptosis pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this research, a rat model of asthma was created using OVA, and polydatin served as an intervention. By inhibiting ferroautophagy mediated by NCOA4 and averting ferroptosis, polydatin has been demonstrated to reduce asthma. This work presents new ideas for investigating the mechanism of polydatin's ability to alleviate asthma, in addition to ...
