Cole-Cole plots as they should be

Journal of Molecular Liquids, 1993
Abstract It is shown that for dielectric Cole-Cole plots, e″ versus e′ as a function of frequency, there are two physical constraints. For low frequencies the plot must come in with slope limiting ± ∞, as it does for Debye behaviour and for resonance absorption, but does not for many other widely used expressions.

Storage effects on the Cole-Cole parameters of erythrocyte suspensions

Physiological Measurement, 2006
Chemical alterations of red blood cells (RBCs) during storage eventually affect the electrical properties of blood. In this study, the physiological parameters such as extracellular (SAGM + CPD + residual plasma) Na(+), K(+), Cl(-), pH, 2,3-DPG and ATP together with the Cole-Cole parameters were measured using erythrocyte suspensions from 51 male ...

COLE-COLE ANALYSIS ON DIELECTRIC SPECTRA OF ELECTRORHEOLOGICAL SUSPENSIONS

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2007
Along with rheological properties, dielectric spectra of the ER fluids were found to provide additional information on both analyzing their electrical polarization properties and interpreting their flow behavior. Dielectric properties of three different material systems such as spherical-monodisperse polymer microspheres (PAPMMA) consisting of a poly ...

Cole-cole diagram as diagnostic tool for dielectric liquids

2011 IEEE International Conference on Dielectric Liquids, 2011
Dielectric subsystems have an important influence on reliability, lifetime and power of electrical equipments. Study of dielectric parameters and their changes due to degradation mechanisms provide important information about the equipments. Paper deals with oil-paper systems and their thermal degradation.

Predicting Cole-Cole parameters of microfluids with microstrip technology

2014 IEEE Sensors Applications Symposium (SAS), 2014
In this paper we present the novel design of a microstrip sensor to measure the broadband complex permittivity of small fluid samples and accurately predict their Cole-Cole parameters. This novel approach differs from prior works by placing the fluid analyte in an enclosed chamber underneath the trace of a suspended microstrip, allowing for better ...

Cole-cole plotting of surface state admittance in MIS capacitors

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1971
Information about surface states on insulator-semiconductor interfaces can be obtained from Cole-Cole plots of the surface state admittance. With this method, the surface state density can be determined with good accuracy regardless of the time constant dispersion.

Capacitance analysis of pseudo-MOSFET using Cole-Cole plots

2016 IEEE International Meeting for Future of Electron Devices, Kansai (IMFEDK), 2016
This paper uses Cole-Cole plots to analyze the capacitance component of the pseudo-MOSFET as a function of frequency. Measurements of silicon-on-insulator wafers identify three capacitance components. Simulations using an equivalent circuit model of the pseudo MOSFET successfully match the measurement results over a wide range of frequency and can ...

The Cole‐Cole model in time domain induced polarization

GEOPHYSICS, 1981
Recently Pelton et al. (1978) used a Cole‐Cole relaxation model to simulate the transient voltages that are observed during an induced‐polarization survey. These authors took the impedance of the equivalent circuit Z(ω) to be [Formula: see text]They then gave the expression for the transient voltage [Formula: see text] as [Formula: see text]In ...
