Hematocrit dependence of the Cole-Cole parameters of human blood

Proceedings of the 1998 2nd International Conference Biomedical Engineering Days, 2002
The specific impedance of human erythrocytes suspended in plasma was measured in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, in samples from nine healthy donors. These samples were diluted with 0.9% saline in different volumes to obtain samples with different hematocrit values, ranging from 31 to 50.

Cole—Cole Diagram and the Distribution of Relaxation Times

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1965
The completeness of the Cole—Cole diagram in the analysis of dielectric relaxation is proved by showing explicitly that a semicircle in the Cole—Cole diagram corresponds uniquely to a Debye relaxation function. A method is established to distinguish a continuous distribution of relaxation times from a single relaxation time.

Interpolation of Induced Polarization Transients by the Generalized Cole-Cole Relaxation Model

1990
We consider a Generalized Cole-Cole (GCC) model as representative of relaxations of electric voltages in time domain Induced Polarization.

Two-modal cole-cole modelling of lP time domain relaxations

53rd EAEG Meeting, 1991
The dominant method for detecting and delineating native pyrite mineralization is Induced Polarization (lP). In presence of hydrocarbon reservoirs the lP anomalies are thought to he caused by epigenetic pyritization located in a plume over oil fields in a geochemically active environment.

On the time-domain response of cole-cole dielectrics

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2005
We investigate time-domain electromagnetic pulse propagation in a dispersive lossy dielectric half-space whose properties are described in the frequency-domain by the Cole-Cole model /spl epsi/(/spl omega/)=/spl epsi//sub /spl infin//+(/spl epsi//sub s/-/spl epsi//sub /spl infin//)/(1+(i/spl omega//spl tau/)/sup /spl alpha ...

A Note on the Cole-Cole Relation in Dielectric Relaxation

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1973
The Debye equation for dielectric dispersion in polar liquids has been suitably modified in order to provide a basis for the empirical Cole-Cole relation describing the dependence of complex dielectric constant on angular frequency. An equation connecting the permittivity with the loss factor, similar to that obtained by using Cole-Cole relation, has ...
