Engineering and art collaborations for innovation

From Leonardo da Vinci to collaborations in the 1960's between engineers and artists and the more recent success of Apple Inc., demonstrates that the connection between engineering and art is well established. This paper gives some historical background on engineering and art collaborations and presents two such collaborations.
