In rheumatoid arthritis, synovial Tregs accumulate but are functionally impaired due to iron overload‐induced ferroptosis. This triggers mitochondrial dysfunction and TXK tyrosine kinase‐mediated signaling, leading to Treg destabilization and inflammation.

An immunomodulatory hydrogel (iGEL) forms spontaneously upon subcutaneous injection, acting as a tissue‐adhesive depot. Four different fragments, which consist of I6-II1-II2-I7-I8-I9, I6-II1-II2-I7, I6-II1-II2, and I8-I9 within the collagen binding domain, have been isolated from proteolytic digests of fibronectin.
