This study proposes a potential device design for joint cartilage replacement. Silica‐polytetrahydrofuran (SiO2‐PolyTHF) hybrids with customizable mechanical properties were developed to mimic the characteristics of a natural meniscus. These were synthesized through a two‐pot sol–gel hybrid process.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Theoretical and experimental research on progressive collapse of RC frame buildings [PDF]
Progressive collapse of the buildings has become an important issue to be studied in recent years due to the catastrophic nature of its effects. This subject can be approached from two different perspectives: one where an ideal collapse of the structure ...

Optimal Management with Potential Regime Shifts [PDF]
We analyze how the threat of a potential future regime shift affects optimal management. We use a simple general growth model to analyze four cases that involve combinations of stock collapse versus changes in system dynamics, and exogenous versus ...
