Finite Element Analysis of Upper Airway in Ansa Cervicalis Stimulation for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
We developed a subject‐specific FE model to investigate how ACS stabilizes the upper airway in OSA. Simulations demonstrate that caudal traction applied through the hyolaryngeal complex produces coordinated multilevel airway stabilization, with pronounced effects at the retropalatal and retro‐epiglottic regions under physiologic loading.

We describe the case of a woman who presented with seemingly non-specific symptoms, including collapse, but through examination was eventually revealed to have an unusual, potentially fatal, but treatable neurological condition. We share some thoughts on the process of diagnosis, the difficulty of diagnosing a rare disease and the practice of neurology

Collapse Dynamics and Collapse Models [PDF]
Although we now possess a wealth of information about the properties of molecular clouds and the circumstances in which stars form, we still have little direct information about the crucial question of how the material in molecular clouds actually becomes condensed into stars.

ABSTRACT Relieving barriers and increasing free flowing rivers is a global imperative to restore habitat connectivity for migratory fish stocks. While reducing river fragmentation will certainly improve biodiversity, the spread of non‐native species throughout a river system may be facilitated as an inadvertent outcome.

Prospective observational study to compare subclavian vein collapsibility index with inferior venacava collapsibility index in predicting hypotension after induction of general anaesthesia [PDF]
Background: Intraoperative hypotension leads to many postoperative complications which can be avoidable. In contrast with inferior vena cava, subclavian vein collapsibility index is found to be a better predictor of intravascular volume status.

Field tests on improvement of collapsible loess by vibratory probe compaction method
The improvement of collapsible loess is one of the technical problems in the development and construction of western China. The collapsible loess covers a large area, and there are many ground treatment projects under construction.

This prospective study developed a two‐step clinical scoring system for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) screening based on patients’ somesthetic perception of oropharyngeal airflow. The Intermediate Score (IS ≥ 7.5) achieved 73% sensitivity and 77% specificity (AUC = 0.7754; OR = 8.96).
