Polymer‐based hydrogels have emerged as promising materials for atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) due to their high water affinity, tunable network structure, and excellent moisture adsorption‐desorption performance. Functional hydrogel systems enable efficient water capture and controlled release under low‐energy conditions, offering a sustainable ...

Stability Problems of Collapsing Soil
Where collapsing soils exist in extensive areas of canal construction, stabilizing the foundation subsoils by ponding method is necessary before embankments and linings are built. As these soils a may still be somewhat critical after collapse, slope stability analyses must include this hazard In interpretation of soil strengths and safety factors.

On Collapse-Settlement Calculations for Heterogeneous Collapsible-Soil Subgrade
In a previous paper the authors have dealt with collapse-settlement calculations for embankments based on a homogenous collapsible soil subgrade. For this same subject the present paper represents modifications to the aforementioned collapse-settlement calculations to include in-situ cases of heterogeneous collapsible-soil subgrades.

Quantifying the Contribution of Sediment Load to Soil Detachment Rate by Sediment-Laden Rill Flow
Sediment load changes with downslope distance during rill erosion process, and thus quantifying the potential contribution of sediment load on soil detachment rate is essential to accurately model the rill erosion process.
