Price Discovery and Efficiency in Uniswap Liquidity Pools

open access: yesJournal of Futures Markets, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Using almost three years of minute‐level data, we show that the efficiency of Uniswap v3 is much improved relative to v2, and some v3 pools are approaching or even exceeding Bitstamp in terms of price discovery ability. Regression results suggest that the channels of influence for these improvements are an increase in informed liquidity ...

Subtle Alterations in Hippocampal Neuronal Activity Coincide With Early Sex‐Specific Differences in Amyloidosis and Microglia in a Pre‐Symptomatic Mouse Model of Alzheimer‐Like Pathology

open access: yesGlia, EarlyView.
In a pre‐symptomatic mouse model of Alzheimer disease, despite higher amyloid‐β load, females display fewer plaques than males. More efficient synaptic transmission as well as less microgliosis point to better early coping with pathogenesis in females.

The three-phase enriched environment paradigm promotes neurovascular restorative and prevents learning impairment after ischemic stroke in rats

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2020
Enriched environment (EE) with a complex combination of sensorimotor, cognitive and social stimulations has been shown to enhance brain plasticity and improve recovery of functions in animal models of stroke.

Bank competition and collateral: theory and evidence [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate the impact of bank competition on the use of collateral in loan contracts. We develop a theoretical model incorporating information asymmetries in a spatial competition framework where banks choose between screening the borrower and asking

Glial Versus Neuronal Na+/K+‐ATPase in Activity‐Evoked K+ Clearance and Their Sensitivity to Elevated Extracellular K+

open access: yesGlia, EarlyView.
The glial Na+ pump regulates [K+]o during neuronal activity, and the neuronal version restores [K+]o to baseline. Spreading depression‐related rise of K+ does not cause SD propagation via suppression of Na+/K+‐ATPase or glutamate transport. ABSTRACT Neuronal activity in the central nervous system is associated with a [K+]o transient that is swiftly ...
