Clinical characteristics of patients with collecting duct carcinoma.

Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2022

Bellini duct (collecting duct) carcinoma of the kidney

International Urology and Nephrology, 1998
Carcinoma of the collecting ducts, or Bellini carcinoma, is a rare renal tumour and, unlike most renal cell carcinomas, it derives from distal tubules. It displays highly aggressive behaviour and has a poor prognosis. In this study, the authors present three cases which they observed over the past three years.

Bellini duct (collecting duct) carcinoma of the kidney

Urology, 1996
Bellini duct (collecting duct) carcinoma of the kidney is a rare entity often misinterpreted as renal or transitional cell carcinoma on histologic examination. Immunohistochemical identification of specific antigens is needed for the differential diagnoses. We describe a case of Bellini duct carcinoma that arose from the collecting ducts of Bellini and

Abstract P03: Comprehensive Molecular Characterization of Collecting Duct Carcinoma for Therapeutic Vulnerability

Cancer Research
Collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is an aggressive rare subtype of kidney cancer with unmet clinical needs. Little is known about its underlying molecular alterations and etiology, primarily due to its rarity, and lack of preclinical models.

Collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney

Human Pathology, 1990
Collecting duct carcinoma is an unusual variant of renal cell carcinoma, whose appearance and behavior are not well established. We identified six cases of collecting duct carcinoma in our files. The clinical, pathologic, and immunohistochemical characteristics of these tumors are reported. The most common symptom was gross hematuria (four cases).

Collecting Duct Carcinoma in the Kidneys: A Rare Case Report

Bioscientia Medicina : Journal of Biomedicine and Translational Research
Background: Collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is one of the rare pathological subtypes of renal cell carcinoma, with high malignancy and poor prognosis. Pathological examination is the gold standard in confirming the diagnosis of CDC. CDC is described as a

Collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney

Histopathology, 1986
Six cases of renal epithelial neoplasms, which show atypical histological features previously described in cases of collecting duct carcinomas, are presented. The tumours were of a tubulo‐papillary architecture, arose in the renal medulla and showed prominent infiltrating tubules with an associated desmoplastic reaction.

Sustained response to immunotherapy in a renal collecting duct carcinoma: A glimmer of hope for an orphan tumor

Open Journal of Clinical and Medical Case Reports
Introduction: Renal Collecting Duct Cell Carcinoma (RCDCC) is a distinctive and aggressive form of Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC). To date, there is no defined therapeutic strategy, and the evidence for Immunotherapy (IT) is very limited. The latest advances

Sarcomatoid Collecting-Duct Carcinoma of the Kidney

Clinical Genitourinary Cancer, 2007
Collecting duct carcinoma is a distinct entity among renal cell carcinoma, which is characterized by an aggressive behavior. Sarcomatoid variants of this tumor are rarely described. We report the case of a 62-year-old woman who presented with a left kidney tumor. A radical nephrectomy was performed.
