Isospin dependence of collective flow

Nuclear collective flow in heavy-ion collisions at intermediate energies has been studied in an isospin-dependent transport model. It is found that both the sign and strength of collective flow are significantly affected by the isospin asymmetry of the colliding system.

Steady conduit flow with spatially increasing discharge is analysed by a hydraulic approach. Particular attention is paid to the effects of viscosity, wall roughness, additional head-loss due to the lateral inflow and the lateral inflow intensity on the flow characteristics in the manifold.
