Steady conduit flow with spatially increasing discharge is analysed by a hydraulic approach. Particular attention is paid to the effects of viscosity, wall roughness, additional head-loss due to the lateral inflow and the lateral inflow intensity on the flow characteristics in the manifold.

In this chapter, you’ll look at one of the most useful components of the UICollectionView family, the flow layout. The flow layout allows you to build collection views containing rows or columns of items with very little effort, but also provides some fine-grained control over various attributes to allow you to fine tune its appearance.

THREE DECADES OF COLLECTIVE FLOW
International Journal of Modern Physics E, 2007In high energy heavy ion reactions the study of collective flow phenomena was one of the basic research directions from the beginning, following the first ideas of Greiner and his colleagues in the early 1970s. In this talk some important developments of the field will be reviewed up to the most recent developments.

Collective flow from azimuthal correlations
Nuclear Physics A, 1995Abstract A characteristic consequence of collective flow in nucleus-nucleus collisions is that the directions of the particles produced in a collision are correlated to the orientation of the impact parameter: that is to say, azimuthal distributions measured with respect to the impact parameter are not uniform.

Collective flow and pion production at diogene
Nuclear Physics A, 1990Abstract Recent results from the large solid angle detector “DIOGENE” at Saturne (Saclay), for Ne + A and Ar + A reactions at 400, 600 and 800 MeV per nucleon are presented. Several points are selected: 1) The particles azimuthal emission pattern (with respect to the reaction plane) exhibiting preferential out-of-plane emission at c.m. rapidities, 2)

Fight the flow: the role of shear in artificial rheotaxis for individual and collective motion.
Nanoscale, 2019To navigate in complex fluid environments, swimming organisms like fish or bacteria often reorient their bodies antiparallel or against the flow, more commonly known as rheotaxis.

Collective Flow Measurements in Asymmetric Nuclear Collisions
1989The collective flow measurements presented in this lecture have been performed with the DIOGENE electronic 4π-detector1 installed at the Saturne synchrotron in Saclay, which can deliver beams up to mass 40. In order to study the properties of dense (and hot) nuclear matter, it is required to measure nucleus-nucleus collisions involving a large number ...

Data-flow Reversal and Garbage Collection
ACM Transactions on Mathematical SoftwareData-flow reversal is at the heart of source-transformation reverse algorithmic differentiation (reverse ST-AD), arguably the most efficient way to obtain gradients of numerical models. However, when the model implementation language uses garbage collection (GC), for instance, in Java or Python, the notion of address that is needed for data-flow ...

Lateral Diffusion in Lipid Membranes through Collective Flows
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2007There is no comprehensive model for the dynamics of cellular membranes. Even mechanisms of basic dynamic processes, such as lateral diffusion of lipids, are poorly understood. Our atomic-scale molecular dynamics simulations support a novel, concerted mechanism for lipid diffusion.

Billing, Collections, and Cash Flow
2015Collections in services companies face unique challenges. Recurring revenues are more and more rare these days. Advance bookings are rare. We rely on getting paid, promptly, for the work we do specific for a certain client. Law firms and accounting firms, most notably, rely on similar systems.
