Pollination ecology of the rare desert species Eremosparton songoricum (Fabaceae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The pollination ecology of Eremosparton songoricum (Litv.) Vass., a rare desert species endemic to central Asia, was examined by a series of observational studies and manipulative experiments in two natural populations during 2007-2008.

Associations between soil characteristics and ground‐nesting bees on farms Associations entre les caractéristiques du sol et les abeilles terricoles dans les exploitations agricoles

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 18, Issue 6, Page 1037-1052, November 2025.
We collected ground‐nesting bees at 35 farms over two summers and assessed their abundance, diversity, and community composition in relation to local soil characteristics (texture, compaction, slope, and ground cover). Ground‐nesting bee abundance and species richness increased with bare ground and sand content.

A tight relationship between the solitary bee Calliopsis (Ceroliopoeum) laeta (Andrenidae, Panurginae) and Prosopis pollen hosts (Fabaceae, Mimosoideae) in xeric South American woodlands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The large genus Calliopsis (Andrenidae, Panurginae) is composed of ten subgenera with polylectic and presumably oligolectic species. These categories have been mainly developed from floral visits of female bees collecting pollen.

Current Evidences and Future Perspectives in the Management of Metastatic Non‐Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urology, Volume 32, Issue 9, Page 1118-1128, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Renal cell carcinoma is a heterogeneous disease with diverse phenotypes. Renal cell carcinoma classification is based on morphological and molecular characteristics and falls into 2 main categories: clear cell renal cell carcinoma and non‐clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Geographic Variation in the Pollination Biology of Passiflora lutea (Passifloraceae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Like most species of Passiflora, P. lutea is reported to produce one-day flowers with complicated floral movements and requires deposition of non-self pollen for fruit production. Medium sized bees are the most likely pollinators in central Texas.

How Bees Respond Differently to Field Margins of Shrubby and Herbaceous Plants in Intensive Agricultural Crops of the Mediterranean Area [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
(1) Intensive agriculture has a high impact on pollinating insects, and conservation strategies targeting agricultural landscapes may greatly contribute to their maintenance.

Supplementary note on the solitary bee fauna from the Suez Canal region of Egypt (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Previous surveys (2011–2013) of the bee fauna from the Suez Canal region, Egypt, recorded a total of 55 species.  Those surveys did not include important floral species among the Asteraceae, a family known to be associated with various oligolectic bees.

Notes on the classification of Ctenocolletes (Hymenoptera: Stenotritidae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Three new subgenera are established within the Australian bee genus Ctenocolletes Cockerell (Stenotritidae).  Three species are placed in Ctenocolletopsis Engel, new subgenus, distinguished most notably by the absence of both female arolia and ...

Diet characterisation of solitary bees on farmland: dietary specialisation predicts rarity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Changes in agricultural practice across Europe and North America have been associated with declines in wild bee populations. Bee diet breadth has been associated with sensitivity to agricultural intensification, but much of this analysis has been ...
