Antifungal potential from Bacillus sp. against phytopathogenic fungus Colletotrichum sp.

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2021
The phytopathogenic fungus Colletotrichum a devastating fungal that causes plant disease. In this study, we observed the potential of three bacilli strains, Bacillus sp. KRG, KRT dan LDR as biocontrol against Colletotrichum sp. KA. Antagonist test using streak and pour plate dual culture method showed that all the Bacillus strains could inhibit growth ...

Colletotrichum gigasporum sp. nov., a new species of Colletotrichum producing long straight conidia

Mycological Progress, 2012
A new species of Colletotrichum was described, based on morphology and phylogeny. The fungus was isolated in Madagascar from healthy leaves of Centella asiatica, in Mexico from wild native of Stylosanthes guianensis and in Colombia from Coffea arabica.

Glomerella truncata sp. nov., the teleomorph of Colletotrichum truncatum

Mycological Research, 2006
Anthracnose of lentil, caused by Colletotrichum truncatum is a serious threat to lentil (Lens culinaris) grown in western Canada. The teleomorph stage of this pathogen was induced to form under laboratory conditions. Random pairing of single conidium isolates enabled the identification of fertile isolates.

Anthracnose of Christmas rose caused by Colletotrichum sp.

Journal of General Plant Pathology, 2009
Leaf spots were found on Christmas rose (Helleborus niger) in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan, in October 2006. The morphology of the causal fungus was very close to that of Colletotrichum truncatum. Classifying the species from the sequences of the internal transcribed spacer regions of ribosomal DNA was inconclusive, and the isolates were identified only ...

Detoxification of fusaric acid by a nonpathogenic Colletotrichum sp.

Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology, 2003
A wide range of bacterial and fungal isolates was screened for their ability to detoxify the phytotoxin fusaric acid (FA), which is produced by a great number of Fusarium species. Some of the antagonistic fluorescent pseudomonad isolates were resistant to high concentrations of FA (up to 500 ppm).

Neuroprotective Compound from an Endophytic Fungus, Colletotrichum sp. JS-0367

Journal of Natural Products, 2018
Colletotrichum sp. JS-0367 was isolated from Morus alba (mulberry), identified, and cultured on a large scale for chemical investigation. One new anthraquinone (1) and three known anthraquinones (2-4) were isolated and identified using spectroscopic methods including 1D/2D-NMR and HRESIMS.
