Antibacterial Azaphilones from an Endophytic Fungus, Colletotrichum sp. BS4 [PDF]
Three new compounds, colletotrichones A-C (1-3), and one known compound, chermesinone B (4a), were isolated from an endophytic fungus, Colletotrichum sp. BS4, harbored in the leaves of Buxus sinica, a well-known boxwood plant used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

Active chitosan coating to inhibit decay and maintain mango postharvest quality. [PDF]
Abstract BACKGROUND Microbial decay limits the storage, quality and trade of mangoes (Mangifera indica). We developed an active chitosan coating containing zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO‐NPs) and Eucalyptus radiata essential oil (EEO) to inhibit decay and preserve postharvest quality of mango. Chitosan (cationic) can disrupt microbial membranes; ZnO‐NPs

Kinetic and Thermodynamic Characterization of Glucoamylase from Colletotrichum sp. KCP1 [PDF]
Extracellular glucoamylase of Colletotrichum sp. KCP1 produced through solid state fermentation was purified by two steps purification process comprising ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The Recovery of glucoamylase after GPC was 50.40 % with 19.3-fold increase in specific activity.

Pyrenocines N–O: two novel pyrones from Colletotrichum sp. HCCB03289 [PDF]
Pyrenocines are better known as phytotoxic metabolites been found in Alternaria, Curvularia, Penicillium and Phomopsis strains. The class of compounds showed several biological activities, reportedly being phytotoxic, antifungal, cytotoxic, antitrypanosomal and antimalarial.1, 2, 3 Fungi of the genus Colletotrichum, a class of the widely distributed ...
