Abstract North America is characterized by an expansive continental plain that has been described as platter‐flat. Yet this central continental plain includes isolated uplands that some people call mountains. The hill‐mountain muddle is a classic problem of geomorphology, arising from the challenge of discriminating continuous, attached forms.

A Theoretical Investigation of Channel Wave Multipath Propagation in a Coal Seam
This study investigates the mechanism of channel wave multipath propagation to determine features of a channel wave in a coal seam. For this purpose, deduction formulas were used for different time delays and propagation paths and, subsequently, a multipath fading channel wave pattern was built. MATLAB software was used to simulate the model.

Abstract In this study, the performance of a one‐source surface energy balance (OSEB) remote sensing (RS) of actual crop evapotranspiration (ETa), incorporating data from different spaceborne, airborne and proximal multispectral data, was evaluated. The RS platforms in this study included Landsat‐8 (30 m pixel size), Sentinel‐2 (10 m), Planet CubeSat ...

Homotheties of a Class of Spherically Symmetric Space‐Time Admitting G3 as Maximal Isometry Group
The homotheties of spherically symmetric space‐time admitting G4, G6, and G10 as maximal isometry groups are already known, whereas, for the space‐time admitting G3 as isometry groups, the solution in the form of differential constraints on metric coefficients requires further classification. For a class of spherically symmetric space‐time admitting G3

Riemann solitons on Egorov and Cahen-Wallach symmetric spaces
In this paper, we consider Egorov and Cahen-Wallach symmetric spaces and study the Riemann solitons on these spaces. We prove that Egorov and Cahen-Wallach symmetric spaces admit the Riemann solitons.

Collineation groups of translation planes of small dimension
A subgroup of the linear translation complement of a translation plane is geometrically irreducible if it has no invariant lines or subplanes. A similar definition can be given for geometrically primitive.

On the equivalence of linear sets
Let $L$ be a linear set of pseudoregulus type in a line $\ell$ in $\Sigma^*=\mathrm{PG}(t-1,q^t)$, $t=5$ or $t>6$. We provide examples of $q$-order canonical subgeometries $\Sigma_1,\, \Sigma_2 \subset \Sigma^*$ such that there is a $(t-3)$-space $\Gamma

The aim of this paper is to give the geometrical/physical interpretation of the conserved quantities corresponding to each Noether symmetry of the geodetic Lagrangian of plane symmetric space‐times. For this purpose, we present a complete list of plane symmetric nonstatic space‐times along with the generators of all Noether symmetries of the geodetic ...

Collineations of a symmetric 2-covariant tensor: Ricci collineations [PDF]
The infinitesimal transformations that leave invariant a two-covariant symmetric tensor are studied. The interest of these symmetry transformations lays in the fact that this class of tensors includes the energy-momentum and Ricci tensors. We find that in most cases the class of infinitesimal generators of these transformations is a finite dimensional ...

Incremental Localization Algorithm Based on Regularized Iteratively Reweighted Least Square
Incremental localization algorithm is a distributed localization method with excellent characteristics for wireless network. However, its estimated result is generally influenced by the heteroscedasticity arising from cumulative errors and the ...
