On the meridional asymmetry of the poleward‐displaced intertropical convergence zone
We analyze the complex, asymmetrical dynamical structure of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) in the East Pacific and Atlantic basins, seen during boreal summer, using a global, coupled storm‐resolving simulation. The equatorial pressure gradients lead to the acceleration of southerlies, which decelerate when the zonal flow becomes westerly ...

Assessing the impact of model biases on subseasonal forecast skill
Relaxation experiments where the nudging was performed towards bias‐corrected integrations of the same model display significantly improved skill at weeks 3 and 4, particularly in the northern extratropics. This indicates that there is a large potential for improving dynamical subseasonal forecasting skill by improved treatment of model biases.

ABSTRACT This article addresses the problem of quantifying the uncertainty in planning aircraft ground movement operations using towbarless robotic tractors taking into account the inherent uncertainties of the problem, specifically, the uncertainties in the weight of the aircraft and in the rolling resistance of the wheels of the main landing gear ...

Science Teachers' Management of Conflicting Institutional Logics: Placing Emotions Front and Center
ABSTRACT In science education, the convergence of recent reform demands with existing policies requires teachers to navigate conflicting expectations, practices, and missions when performing their job. Institutional research has invested much effort into examining how operating in such a fragmented policy environment, in which conflicting institutional

ABSTRACT Curriculum materials can play an essential role to help teachers shift their instruction. However, curricular enactment does not look identical in every classroom, because teachers need to be responsive to their students. In this study, we investigated the customizations teachers made while enacting storyline science curriculum.

Aspirations and Apprehensions: Reconciling Youths' Desires and Concerns for a Sustainable Future
ABSTRACT Although youth are widely acknowledged as change agents, their full participation is often limited by immediate concerns. This study examines how young people's aspirations shape their engagement with sustainability amid economic, environmental, and social uncertainties. Drawing on a large‐scale international survey (n: 15,076) and multinomial
