Measurement theory of a density profile of colloid particles on a flat surface: Conversion of force acting on a colloidal probe into pressure on its surface element [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Recently, we proposed a method that converts the force between two-large colloids into the pressure on the surface element (FPSE conversion) in a system of a colloidal solution. Using it, the density distribution of the small colloids around the large colloid is calculated.

Designing of Self‐Dispersing Soft Dendritic Microcleaners for Microplastics Capture and Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The capture and recovery of microplastics from open aquatic systems is a complex problem, which necessitates nontrivial solutions. The principles of a comprehensive multistage process based on sustainably sourced microcleaners with hierarchical morphology are demonstrated.

Colloidal Joints with Designed Motion Range and Tunable Joint Flexibility [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The miniaturization of machines towards the micron and nanoscales requires the development of joint-like elements that enable and constrain motion. We present a facile method to create colloidal joints, that is, anisotropic colloidal particles containing surface mobile DNA linkers that control the motion range of bonded particles.

Regioselective and Anisotropic Multi‐Patching of Small Microparticles via a Polymer Brush‐Assisted Microcontact Printing (µCP)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A method to fabricate anisotropic SiO2 patchy microspheres is presented using a modified microcontact printing technique. This involves a PDMS elastomer stamp with grooved surface topography, creating a confined environment for the microspheres.

CYTO-STRUCTURE OF THYROID GLAND INFLUENCED BY “CASPIAN” WATER RESOURCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF DAGESTAN

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Медицинские науки, 2020
Background. The incidence of thyroid disorders is increasing every year in Russia. One of the priority reasons for the growth of thyroid diseases is undoubtedly iodine deficiency, as well as the consequences of human activity-environmental pollution ...

Roulette‐Inspired Physical Unclonable Functions: Stochastic yet Deterministic Multi‐Bit Patterning through the Solutal Marangoni Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometric multi‐bit patterning based on dynamic wetting and dewetting phenomena creates roulette‐like Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) labels with stochastic yet deterministic properties. This method leverages the solutal‐Marangoni effect for high randomness while achieving deterministic multinary patterns through polygonal confinement of binary ...

Mesoscale Modeling of an Active Colloid's Motion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper uses Cahn-Hilliard equations as a mesoscale model of the motion of active colloids. The model attempts to capture the driving mechanisms and qualitative behavior of the isotropic colloids originally proposed by J. Decayeaux in 2021. We compare our model against the single colloid behavior presented in that work, as well as against multi ...
