Histiocytes: Multifaceted Regulators of Health and Disease
ABSTRACT The mononuclear phagocyte system encompasses macrophages, dendritic cells (DCs), and monocytes. Tissue‐resident macrophages and dendritic cells arise during embryogenesis and are replenished either through self‐renewal or by monocytes during inflammation.

ABSTRACT The literature on the cellular uptake of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) is currently limited in long‐term studies (> 10 h) and the applicability of mathematical uptake models to experimental data. Here, the uptake of AuNPs of diameters 5, 10, and 20 nm at concentrations of 10 and 40 μM was measured up to 48 h in PC‐3 cells.

Recent developments in eosinophilic renal neoplasms: what's new, true and important?
Recent developments and acquired knowledge on newer renal entities with eosinophilic cytoplasm opened insights into the clinical, pathological, immunohistochemical, molecular, epidemiological aspects, and the prognosis of these entities. We emphasize the role of routine morphology, aided by appropriate and select immunohistochemistry, as essential keys

Novel Bioconjugate Materials: Synthesis, Characterization and Medical Applications
This review discusses the bioconjugation of novel materials grouped under “biological”, “hybrid” and “synthetic” categories. Medical applications ranging from cancer therapy and diagnostics to optogenetics and tissue engineering are explored, and conjugation trends are highlighted as a general guide. The review concludes with a comparison of techniques

Designing Physical Unclonable Functions From Optically Active Materials
Assigning unforgeable “fingerprints” to manufactured goods is a key strategy to fight global counterfeiting. Optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are chemically generated random patterns of optically active materials serving as unique authenticators.
