This article focuses on what is currently the most outstanding issue for Ecuadorian foreign policy, namely, the growing violence of the transborder conflict. By using the approach of so-called "peace studies': the author makes a critical review of the conceptual and ethical assumptions on which the Ecuadorian foreign policy is based.
