DYNAMICS OF A MACROALGAL ROCKY INTERTIDAL COMMUNITY IN THE COLOMBIAN CARIBBEAN

The macroalgal intertidal community at a tropical location (Punta de la Loma, Colombian Caribbean) was monitored at irregular intervals from 1992 to 1995. The highly diverse macroalgal community was relatively invariant in cover, taxa and biomass from small spatial scales (square centimeters).

Global habitat suitability and invasion risk of melon thrips

Habitat suitability of Thrips palmi worldwide was predicted using the MaxEnt model. Precipitation of the driest month, precipitation of the wettest month and annual mean temperature were identified as the key climatic drivers influencing its distribution.
