Emergent sampling of Bryozoa in Mackellar glaciomarine fjord, 62°S maritime Antarctic

open access: yesУкраїнський антарктичний журнал
Bryozoans are sessile suspension feeding metazoans which represent an important component of Antarctic macrozoobenthic communities. These ectotherm modular organisms are present in a wide variety of habitats subjected to strong gradients, such as those ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Bio‐Orthogonally Crosslinked Supramolecular Polymer Bottlebrush Hydrogels for Long‐Term 3D Cell Culture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fibrous benzenetrispeptide (BTP) hydrogels, fabricated via strain‐promoted azide‐alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) crosslinking, form robust, bioinert networks. These hydrogels can support 3D cell culture, where cell viability and colony growth depend on the fiber content.
