A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Hom-Lie color algebra structures

open access: yes, 2010
This paper introduces the notion of Hom-Lie color algebra, which is a natural general- ization of Hom-Lie (super)algebras. Hom-Lie color algebras include also as special cases Lie (super) algebras and Lie color algebras.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Ambiguity of Underwater Color Measurement and Color-based Habitat Classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The paper discusses ambiguities in recording color underwater. Routinely collected RGB imagery can be used for classification and recognition utilizing the proposed probabilistic approach.

Color ordering in QCD

open access: yes, 2013
We derive color decompositions of arbitrary tree and one-loop QCD amplitudes into color ordered objects called primitive amplitudes. Furthermore, we derive general fermion flip and reversion identities spanning the null space among the primitive ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Gapless Color Superconductivity

open access: yes, 1999
We present the dispersion relations for quasiparticle excitations about the color-flavor locked ground state of QCD at high baryon density. In the presence of condensates which pair light and strange quarks there need not be an energy gap in the ...

The impact of various curing methods on the curing process of polymer-fiber composites analyzed using analytical approach

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Ti/Gf/Cf represents a novel form of hybrid fiber metal laminates (HFMLs) that successfully blend the benefits of titanium alloy, glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP), and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). These materials have garnered attention in

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.
