Design and Research of a Color Discrimination Method for Polycrystalline Silicon Cells Based on Laser Detection System

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this paper, a method of color discrimination based on sample sensitivity to light wavelength is proposed based on the reflection spectra of a large number of samples and the statistical calculation of the measurement data.

Structural and Functional Characteristics of Color Vision Changes in Choroideremia

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2021
Color vision is considered a marker of cone function and its assessment in patients with retinal pathology is complementary to the assessments of spatial vision [best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA)] and contrast detection (perimetry).

Multidimensional scaling of D15 caps: Color-vision defects among tobacco smokers? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Tobacco smoke contains a range of toxins including carbon monoxide and cyanide. With specialized cells and high metabolic demands, the optic nerve and retina are vulnerable to toxic exposure.

Color discrimination in carriers of color deficiency

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2004
Carriers of X-linked color vision deficiencies have previously been reported to exhibit mild abnormalities of color matching and discrimination. In a sample of 55 carriers of protan and deutan deficiencies and 55 age-matched normal controls, we measured chromatic discrimination along a red-green axis.

Use of Multiple Bacteriophage-Based Structural Color Sensors to Improve Accuracy for Discrimination of Geographical Origins of Agricultural Products

open access: yesSensors, 2021
A single M13 bacteriophage color sensor was previously utilized for discriminating the geographical origins of agricultural products (garlic, onion, and perilla). The resulting discrimination accuracy was acceptable, ranging from 88.6% to 94.0%.

Reduced Discrimination in the Tritanopic Confusion Line for Congenital Color Deficiency Adults

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2016
In congenital color blindness the red-green discrimination is impaired resulting in an increased confusion between those colors with yellow. Our post-receptoral physiological mechanisms are organized in two pathways for color perception, a red-green ...
