Doppler color flow mapping

Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 1985

Color Doppler Imaging in Uveitis

European Journal of Ophthalmology, 1997
Purpose. To evaluate the vascular hemodynamic changes that can be detected with color Doppler imaging (CDI) in diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis of uveitis with different etiologies including Behçet's disease.

Reproducibility of color Doppler imaging

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2009
The aims of this study were: (1) to determine the intra-subject and inter-observer variability of color Doppler imaging (CDI) measurements and readings of the retrobulbar blood vessels, (2) to compare the difference invariability of CDI parameters in non-glaucomatous controls versus glaucoma patients, and (3) to provide calculations of minimum sample ...

Color Doppler sonography in pyelonephritis

Pediatric Radiology, 1992
Renal sonography detects abnormality in only 40% of pediatric pyelonephritis. In eight patients shown to have acute pyelonephritis by 99mTc DMSA renal cortical scintigraphy, five were found to have focal abnormalities of renal perfusion by color Doppler sonography in the same sites as the scintigraphic defects (sensitivity-63%).

Color Doppler Sonography of the Prostate

Urologia Internationalis, 2010
Digital rectal examination, prostate-specific antigen and transrectal sonography (TRS) are the main diagnostic tools for evaluating men at risk for carcinoma of the prostate (PCa). PCa has a hypoechoic echo pattern via TRS in 60-85% of cases. Hypoechoic areas are observed, however, in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as well.

Doppler and color Doppler imaging in acute transplant failure

Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 1992
AbstractMost renal transplants are lost by rejection. A method is required to identify and discriminate between this and acute tubular necrosis and cyclosporin toxicity. The sonogram of the normal renal transplant is characteristic. Early Doppler studies measuring a rise in vascular impedance in acute rejection showed a high sensitivity and specificity.

Color Doppler Angiography and Color Doppler Frequency Use in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Journal of Gynecologic Surgery, 1999
ABSTRACT Neoangiogenesis is an important event that may signal the healthy development of normal processes such as folliculogenesis, ovulation, and implantation, or it may indicate the development of abnormal conditions such as carcinogenesis, infection, and certain types of infertility.

Color Doppler Instrumentation

1991
In the last several years, color Doppler imaging has grown rapidly in clinical application. It was introduced for echocardiography instrumentation in 1984, for peripheral vascular imaging in 1986, and for general radiology use in 1987, and is now included on the vast majority of high-performance ultrasound systems placed in the United States and Europe

Color-Doppler sonography in ophthalmology.

Minerva cardioangiologica, 2000
With the present study we considered ocular blood flow by the use of color Doppler ultrasound. We compared the most clinically important arteries of both eyes. We valued the central retinal artery, the posterior long ciliary arteries, the posterior brief ciliary arteries and the central retinal vein.We submitted to an ecd examination of the ophthalmic ...

[Artifacts in echo-Doppler and color-Doppler].

La Radiologia medica, 1992
It is well known that artifacts can be observed during US examinations; the same is true also for Doppler and color-Doppler images of blood flow. Recognizing these artifacts is important to avoid image misinterpretations and, when possible, to overcome them by modifying either techniques or unit settings, or both.
