Color Doppler Sonography of the Prostate
Urologia Internationalis, 1996Digital rectal examination, prostate-specific antigen and transrectal sonography (TRS) are the main diagnostic tools for evaluating men at risk for carcinoma of the prostate (PCa). PCa has a hypoechoic echo pattern via TRS in 60- 85% of cases. Hypoechoic areas are observed, however, in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as well.

Doppler and color Doppler imaging in acute transplant failure
Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 1992AbstractMost renal transplants are lost by rejection. A method is required to identify and discriminate between this and acute tubular necrosis and cyclosporin toxicity. The sonogram of the normal renal transplant is characteristic. Early Doppler studies measuring a rise in vascular impedance in acute rejection showed a high sensitivity and specificity.

Color Doppler Angiography and Color Doppler Frequency Use in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Journal of Gynecologic Surgery, 1999ABSTRACT Neoangiogenesis is an important event that may signal the healthy development of normal processes such as folliculogenesis, ovulation, and implantation, or it may indicate the development of abnormal conditions such as carcinogenesis, infection, and certain types of infertility.

1991
In the last several years, color Doppler imaging has grown rapidly in clinical application. It was introduced for echocardiography instrumentation in 1984, for peripheral vascular imaging in 1986, and for general radiology use in 1987, and is now included on the vast majority of high-performance ultrasound systems placed in the United States and Europe

Color-Doppler sonography in ophthalmology.
Minerva cardioangiologica, 2000With the present study we considered ocular blood flow by the use of color Doppler ultrasound. We compared the most clinically important arteries of both eyes. We valued the central retinal artery, the posterior long ciliary arteries, the posterior brief ciliary arteries and the central retinal vein.We submitted to an ecd examination of the ophthalmic ...

[Artifacts in echo-Doppler and color-Doppler].
La Radiologia medica, 1992It is well known that artifacts can be observed during US examinations; the same is true also for Doppler and color-Doppler images of blood flow. Recognizing these artifacts is important to avoid image misinterpretations and, when possible, to overcome them by modifying either techniques or unit settings, or both.
