Abstract A 70‐year‐old male with lung cancer and interstitial pneumonia was diagnosed with ampullary carcinoma, causing obstructive jaundice. After the failure of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic ultrasound‐guided hepaticogastrostomy (EUS‐HGS) was performed with a 7‐Fr plastic stent (PS) into the B2 bile duct.

Color Doppler ultrasound in ovarian fibrosarcoma
Gynecologic Oncology, 2004Primary ovarian fibrosarcoma is a very rare tumor. Its Doppler waveform characteristics have not been described before.A 35-year-old woman presented with a 5-cm solid ovarian mass. Intratumoral artery resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) were very low (0.19 and 0.21, respectively).

Color Doppler Ultrasound Assessment of Activity in Keloids
Dermatologic Surgery, 2017BACKGROUND The assessment of activity in keloids may be critical for defining their management. There is a lack of clinical scorings designed for the evaluation of keloids and biopsies may be contraindicated. OBJECTIVE To assess the sonographic activity of keloids in comparison with

Color Doppler ultrasound investigation of varicocele
World Journal of Urology, 2004Varicocele, whose association with male infertility has been clearly documented in the literature, is a common finding in adolescents and adult men, being diagnosed in 20-40% of infertile patients. A correct and early diagnosis of this affliction is of great importance because, in most cases, a timely correction, usually performed using percutaneous ...

Physical principles of doppler and color doppler ultrasound
2021Doppler ultrasound is based on application of the Doppler effect, also called the Doppler shift. In medicine the ultrasound wave is reflected off the moving objects which are erythrocytes in blood vessels. The following types of applications of the Doppler shift in diagnostic imaging are distinguished: Spectral Doppler, including Continuous wave ...

Color Doppler ultrasound of the genitourinary tract
Current Opinion in Urology, 1992This paper discusses the role of color Doppler ultrasonography (CDU) as it applies to the genitourinary tract. CDU is beneficial in evaluating both the native and allograft kidney in the diagnosis of renal arterial and venous stenosis, arteriovenous fistulas, pseudoaneurysms, arterial and venous thrombosis, and in the characterization and staging of ...

Color doppler ultrasound in newborn testis torsion
Urology, 1995To assess the usefulness of color Doppler ultrasound in evaluating the newborn with suspected antenatal testis torsion.Nine newborns with 10 antenatally torsed testes were examined using color Doppler and gray-scale ultrasound. Each examination revealed lack of intratesticular blood flow on the affected side and normal flow within the contralateral ...

Color Doppler Ultrasound in Ocular Behçet's Disease
European Journal of Ophthalmology, 1997The purpose of this study was to evaluate the hemodynamic changes occurring in the ophthalmic vasculature of eyes with Behçet's disease in a controlled clinical trial. Both eyes of patients with retinal involvement due to Behçet's disease were consecutively evaluated and were established as having mild or severe retinal vasculitis according to the ...

Color doppler endoscopic ultrasound
Techniques in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2000Color Doppler enhances the capability of endosonography in detecting blood vessels at the vicinity of the gastrointestinal tract., It reduces the risk of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided fine-needle aspiration or therapy and provides additional assessment parameters for bleeding peptic ulcers and varices.

The preoperative examinations by doppler-sonography of 83 patients with tumors of the breast are presented. The examinations are done with newest technique: duplex-sonography in slow-flow-technique (AI 3200, Dornier); colour-sonography in MEM-technique (AI 5200, Dornier) and synchronical colour-doppler++ (Quantum 2000, Siemens) and CW-doppler ...
