Fast Fourier Color Constancy [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), 2017
We present Fast Fourier Color Constancy (FFCC), a color constancy algorithm which solves illuminant estimation by reducing it to a spatial localization task on a torus. By operating in the frequency domain, FFCC produces lower error rates than the previous state-of-the-art by 13-20% while being 250-3000 times faster.

ECOPRINT COLOR FASTNESS RESISTANCE ON GOATSKIN MEDIA AGAINST WET RUB AND SUNLIGHT

open access: yesE-Journal of Cultural Studies, 2022
Many artisans prefer to use artificial (synthetic) dyes because they are faster and easier. However, chemical substances from synthetic dye waste are harmful to the environment.

A fast algorithm for equitable coloring [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorica, 2010
An equitable \(k\)-colouring of a graph is a proper vertex colouring with \(k\) colors, in which the sizes of any two colour classes differ by at most one. It was conjectured by P. Erdős and proved by \textit{A. Hajnal} and \textit{E. Szemerédi} [Combinat. Theory Appl., Colloquia Math. Soc.

Eco-Friendly Dyeing of Viscose Rayon Fabrics Using Anthocyanin from Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2022
This paper investigates the feasibility of dyeing viscose rayon fabric with an anthocyanin solution extracted from H. sabdariffa L. calyces. For eco-friendly dyeing and improvement of the natural dye’s affinity to fabrics, natural mordants instead of ...

Fast Edge Colorings with Fixed Number of Colors to Minimize Imbalance [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2006
Summary: We study the following optimization problem: the input is a multigraph \(G = (V, E)\) and an integer parameter \(g\). A feasible solution consists of a (not necessarily proper) coloring of E with colors \(1, 2, \cdots, g\). Denote by \(d(v, i)\) the number of edges colored \(i\) incident to \(v\). The objective is to minimize \(\sum_{v \in V} \

Coloring Fast Without Learning Your Neighbors' Colors

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
We give an improved randomized CONGEST algorithm for distance-$2$ coloring that uses $Δ^2+1$ colors and runs in $O(\log n)$ rounds, improving the recent $O(\log Δ\cdot \log n)$-round algorithm in [Halldórsson, Kuhn, Maus; PODC '20]. We then improve the time complexity to $O(\log Δ) + 2^{O(\sqrt{\log\log n})}$.

A Comparison of Color Fastness Properties of Mulberry Silk and Tussah Silk Fabrics in Blends with Cellulosic Fibers

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2021
Although it has been used for centuries; silk’s appearance, touch, and other high-quality properties maintain the popularity of the fiber. However, there are different types of silkworms, so different types of silk fibers are available.

Ecological risk assessment and health safety speculation during color fastness properties enhancement of natural dyed cotton through metallic mordants

open access: yesFashion and Textiles, 2017
Variety and durability of color are presumed as key constrains of natural dyes. So, this study attempts to investigate the effect of metallic mordants on the color fastness properties of ecologically dyed cotton fabric using banana floral stem sap. Color
