Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

COLOR CHANGE STUDY BY RETREATMENT WITH DIRECT DYES. STUDY CASE [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2020
In this paper we presented a study on the color change by retreatment with different agents, of materials dyed with direct dyes.Direct dyes are organic or inorganic substances that contain double-bonded chromophore groups, which have a major role in the ...

Screen Printing of Cotton Fabric with Hydrochromic Paste: Evaluation of Color Uniformity, Reversibility and Fastness Properties

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2020
Smart textiles are promising for the future of the textile industry, providing natural fibers with attractive and interactive features. Within this context, it is possible to emphasize the chromic materials, as, for example, the hydrochromic, which alter

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Integral Fast Fourier Color Constancy

open access: yes2025 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR)
Traditional auto white balance (AWB) algorithms typically assume a single global illuminant source, which leads to color distortions in multi-illuminant scenes. While recent neural network-based methods have shown excellent accuracy in such scenarios, their high parameter count and computational demands limit their practicality for real-time video ...

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Eco-friendly coloration of linen to ameliorate its practical approach

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Reactive dyes are the perfect choice for dyeing of cellulosic fibers due to produce a wide gamut of bright colors with excellent color fastness, however environmental pollution is increasing in recent days seeing that of making use of inorganic salt and ...

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.
