Investigation of the effects of different ink density values on color gamut in offset printing
A standard color gamut can be obtained with CMYK samples that are printed with an offset printing system according to the ISO 12647-2:2013. It is possible to enhance or widen the color gamut during the printing process by interfering with the density and

High-Brightness, Wide-Gamut, and High-Resolution Structural Colors via Ultrafast Laser Oxidation of Ti/TiO2 Films. [PDF]
Ultrafast laser writing on titanium (Ti)–titanium dioxide (TiO2)–Ti sandwich films triggers controllable oxidation (〉200 nm) to create vivid, durable structural colors. The colors reach 〉 80% of the standard RGB (sRGB) gamut, up to 60% peak reflectance, and 30,000 dots per inch (DPI) resolution for art and anti‐counterfeiting.

Optimization of laser-induced printed colors for industrial applications [PDF]
Laser-induced printing is an affordable, fast, and non-contact method for creating high-resolution images. Using plasmonic nanocomposite thin films, it enables the printing of color images with visual effects.

A Similarity Measure for Material Appearance [PDF]
We present a model to measure the similarity in appearance between different materials, which correlates with human similarity judgments. We first create a database of 9,000 rendered images depicting objects with varying materials, shape and illumination.

Effect of black level and color gamut on display brightness
This study investigates the effect of the black level and color gamut on the overall display brightness using a psychophysical experiment. Two stimuli with different color gamut were matched until the overall brightness appeared the same by controlling ...

Display Gamut Metrology Using Chromaticity Diagram
With the introduction of the International Telecommunication Union-Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) Recommendation BT.2020 (Rec. 2020) color space for ultrahigh definition television, the development of wide-gamut displays has become a high priority. To

Gaze-contingent manipulation of color perception [PDF]
Using real time eye tracking, gaze-contingent displays can modify their content to represent depth (e.g., through additional depth cues) or to increase rendering performance (e.g., by omitting peripheral detail).
