Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A New Chaotic Color Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Memristor Model and Random Hybrid Transforms

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This paper skillfully incorporates the memristor model into a chaotic system, creating a two-dimensional (2D) hyperchaotic map. The system’s exceptional chaotic performance is verified through methods such as phase diagrams, bifurcation diagrams, and ...

Saturation improvement in hue-preserving color image enhancement without gamut problem

open access: yesICT Express, 2018
This study proposes a method to improve the saturation of colors during hue-preserving color image enhancement without the gamut problem. First, the color of each pixel in an input image is projected onto one of three bisecting planes or bisectors of an ...

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

A Color Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Compressive Sensing and Block-Based DNA Coding

open access: yesIEEE Access
Image encryption is an effective method to prevent images from being captured or stored illegally. With the increasing demand for image security and transmission efficiency, this paper proposes a color image encryption algorithm based on chaotic systems,

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

From Grayscale to Color: Quaternion Linear Regression for Color Face Recognition

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Linear regression has shown an effective tool for face recognition in recent years. Most existing linear regression based methods are devised for grayscale image based face recognition and fail to exploit the color information of color face images.
