Saliency Consistency-Based Image Re-Colorization for Color Blindness

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
For patients with color vision defects, owing to the destruction of cone cells and loss of function, some color information is lost, hence changing the originally transmitted information by the image.

Neutrophil deficiency increases T cell numbers at the site of tissue injury in mice

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In wild‐type mice, injury or acute inflammation induces neutrophil influx followed by macrophage accumulation. Mcl1ΔMyelo (neutrophil‐deficient) mice lack neutrophils, and in response to muscle injury show fewer macrophages and exhibit strikingly elevated T‐cell numbers, primarily non‐conventional “double‐negative” (DN) αβ and γδ T cells.

Reliable Hysteroscopy Color Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The aim of this study was to investigate the reliability of two hysteroscopy cameras, the Circon IP 4 and Karl Storz HD, in relation to white balance, camera response over time, and color correction. Experimental results, show that for both the Circon and Karl Storz cameras: (i) for white balancing, either guaze, or white sheet, or the white color ...

Ergothioneine supplementation improves pup phenotype and survival in a murine model of spinal muscular atrophy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease affecting motor neurons. Individuals with SMA experience mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of an antioxidant and neuroprotective substance, ergothioneine (ERGO), on an SMNΔ7 mouse model of SMA.

An Adaptive Color Image Segmentation

open access: yesELCVIA Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis, 2006
A novel Adaptive Color Image Segmentation (ACIS) System for color image segmentation is presented. The proposed ACIS system uses a neural network with architecture similar to the multilayer perceptron (MLP) network. The main difference is that neurons here uses a multisigmoid activation function.

Highly multiplexed digital PCR assay for simultaneous quantification of variant allele frequencies and copy number alterations of KRAS and GNAS in pancreatic cancer precursors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

Reference-guided structure-aware deep sketch colorization for cartoons

open access: yesComputational Visual Media, 2021
Digital cartoon production requires extensive manual labor to colorize sketches with visually pleasant color composition and color shading. During colorization, the artist usually takes an existing cartoon image as color guidance, particularly when ...

Transfer Color From Color Image To Grayscale Image

open access: yes, 2017
While there exist various techniques that can be used in coloring a grayscale image , in this paper we present new methods of colorization of grayscale image by transfer color between source color image to target grayscale image , generally colorizing grayscale image involves color space ,source color image and target greyscale image , here in this ...

Automatically choosing source color images for coloring grayscale images [PDF]

open access: yes16th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Graphics and Image Processing (SIBGRAPI 2003), 2004
We introduce a methodology for adding color to grayscale images in a way that is completely automatic. Towards this goal, we build on a technique that was recently developed to transfer colors from a user-selected source image to a target grayscale image.
