Hierarchical Twist: Chirality Across Scales in Cellulose Cholesterics
Advanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.Hierarchical left‐ and right‐handed chiral nematic structures are observed in a solvent‐free thermotropic cellulose derivative. Free‐standing films show hierarchical twisted structures whose pitches respond differently to uniaxial strain: left‐handed pitches increase, ones decrease.
