Color Perception in Small Test Fields
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1953Several small test colors were varied in size and shape to discover possible effects on their color appearance. Color appearance was evaluated calorimetrically with a binocular septum viewer; the test color was viewed with one eye under the given conditions and matched with a variable mixture presented to the other eye under standard conditions ...

RESPONSES TO THE ISHIHARA TEST FOR COLOR PERCEPTION
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1949SEVERAL tests have been devised to detect abnormalities of color perception. The easiest, and the most convenient for mass examination, are those using the pseudoisochromatic plates, of which the Ishihara test is one. Owing to the ease with which it can be made, this test has been used frequently to determine the incidence of defective color vision in ...

Test of a Convergence Model for Color Transparency Perception
Perception, 1998Models of color transparency suggest that a region in which colors of surfaces converge in color space will appear transparent. The convergence is described by a transparency parameter a and a target of convergence. To test such models psychophysically, observers were presented a display with four colored areas.

A Proposed Compact Color Perception Test Device
Applied Optics, 1968An apparatus is described which permits the visual display and controlled visual match between a standard color and a color which is the result of mixing a pair of homogeneous spectral colors in a precisely measurable luminance ratio. The luminance of the binary mixture either remains constant or changes proportionately in any desired ratio with the ...

IMPROVED LANTERN FOR TESTING COLOR PERCEPTION.
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1900This lantern is an improved form of the one I showed at the meeting of this Section last year. It puts in more practical form the principle which has for many years been carried out on the railroads of Holland, where a color-test both by worsted and a lantern, of more complicated construction, is required.

THE TITMUS PEDIATRIC COLOR PERCEPTION TEST AS A COLOR VISION SCREENER
Optometry and Vision Science, 1975The Titmus Pediatric Color Perception Test was compared to three other standard tests of color vision (Ishihara, Dvorine, Farnsworth D-15) with a population of adults. It is concluded that the results of the Titmus test are consistent with those of the other tests if certain specific scoring methods, described in the text, are used.
