Spectral spaces and color spaces
Color Research & Application, 2003AbstractIt has long been known that color experiences under controlled conditions may be ordered into a color space based on three primary attributes. It is also known that the color of an object depends on its spectral reflectance function, among other factors.

Skin color detecting unite YCgCb color space with YCgCr color space
2009 International Conference on Image Analysis and Signal Processing, 2009In order to detect more reliably skin color for color facial image with complicated background, we have presented a detection method based on uniting YCgCb color space with YCgCr color spaced. There exist many colors in nature that are similar to skin color, such as sand, sand beach, soil, stone, cement road, wood, and so on. The things mentioned above

In any application that requires precise, reproducible, and deviceindependent presentation of colors, the use of calibrated color systems is an absolute necessity. For example, color calibration is routinely used throughout the digital print work flow but also in digital film production, professional photography, image databases, etc.

Transformation of a high-dimensional color space for material classification.
Journal of The Optical Society of America A-optics Image Science and Vision, 2017Images in red-green-blue (RGB) color space need to be transformed to other color spaces for image processing or analysis. For example, the well-known hue-saturation-intensity (HSI) color space, which separates hue from saturation and intensity and is ...

Uniform color space for color storage
2007 Asia Optical Fiber Communication and Optoelectronics Conference, 2007The RGB color space has been widely used, but has limitations. A new presentation method is put forward. It uses floating-point to characterizing colors in L*a*b* color space. Due to high precision of floating-point and uniform perception of L*a*b* color space, it can present better color perception.

Publisher Summary The chapter reviews the common color spaces, how they are mathematically related and when a specific color space is used. A color space is a mathematical representation of a set of colors. All of the color spaces can be derived from the red, green, and blue (RGB) information supplied by devices such as cameras and scanners. The three

In 1976, the CIE specified CIELAB and CIELUV, two perceptually uniform color spaces to estimate the magnitude of the difference between two color stimuli. These color spaces were also designed to provide color-difference equations and to interpret color difference in terms of dimensions in lightness, hue, and chroma.

Color transfer in correlated color space
Proceedings of the 2006 ACM international conference on Virtual reality continuum and its applications, 2006In this paper we present a process called color transfer which can borrow one image's color characteristics from another. Recently Reinhard and his colleagues reported a pioneering work of color transfer. Their technology can produce very believable results, but has to transform pixel values from RGB to lαβ.

Fast image enhancement based on color space fusion
, 2016The current Retinex algorithm processes the RGB channels separately for color image enhancement. However, it changes the ratios of RGB components and also causes some serious problems, such as color distor- tion, color noise, and the halo artifacts.

Color space of the coloroid color system
Color Research & Application, 1987AbstractThe Coloroid color system is a Hungarian standard color order system. This article describes the color space of the Coloroid system and its relationship to the CIE colorimetric space and the spaces associated with the Munsell and DIN color order systems.
