Determination of sulphate by automatic colorimetric analysis

The Analyst, 1968
An automatic colorimetric method for determining sulphate in natural water in the range of 5 to 400 mg per litre is presented. The method is based on the precipitation of barium sulphate and the release of the coloured acid chloranilate ion. A manifold has been developed for the determination of sulphate on the Technicon AutoAnalyzer.

Colorimetric Analysis of Dye Mixtures*

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1949
Distributions of chromaticities have been computed for 171 pairs of typical dyes, involving five yellows, nine cyans, and nine magentas. Beer’s law was assumed, and the computations were performed on automatic, punched-card computing and tabulating machines. A selected ordinate method was used.

The preparation and colorimetric analysis of l-canaline

Analytical Biochemistry, 1973
Abstract A method for the isolation of l -canavanine from the seed of jack bean, Canavalia ensiformis (L.) DC., is described. Procedures for the enzymatic preparation of l -canaline by hydrolysis of l -canavanine have been developed. A new colorimetric assay for canaline is presented.

Analysis of molluscan sterols: Colorimetric methods

Lipids, 1984
AbstractThe wide variety of sterols normally found in extracts of bivalve molluscs leads to high variability in analytical data obtained with colorimetric (chole)sterol methods. Total sterol levels in oyster (Crassostrea virginica) extracts were determined using the Liebermann‐Burchard reagent, an acid‐FeCl3 reagent and a cholesterol oxidase procedure.

Colorimetric Oil Analysis for Titanium.

1982
Abstract : The goal of this research contract was to develop a rapid flight-line method compatible with the Colorimetric Iron Kit for assessing the titanium content in used jet engine lubricating oil. A colorimetric method capable of analyzing for up to 20 ppm titanium was developed for this purpose.
