Gold sensing with rhodamine immobilized hydrogel-based colorimetric sensor
Environmental Technology, 2019A highly sensitive and selective optical membrane for determination of Au3+ was synthesized by immobilization of a rhodamine derivative on agarose hydrogel. The sensing dye was synthesized by solvatochromism of rhodamine B via rhodamine lactone-zwitterion equilibrium. UV-vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal gravimetric analysis

Colorimetric “Naked Eye” Sensing of Anions in Aqueous Solution
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2005[structure: see text] The synthesis and UV-vis and NMR spectroscopic studies of thiourea-based colorimetric sensors for anions are presented. These sensors can recognize anions through hydrogen binding even in competitive pH-buffered aqueous solutions, giving rise to large color changes that are clearly visible to the naked eye.

Colorimetric sensing of malathion using palladium-gold bimetallic nanozyme
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2017In this work, a simple, sensitive and selective label free colorimetric assay using palladium-gold nanorod as nanozyme is reported for malathion detection. Study investigates the peroxidase potential of the nanozyme on colorimetric substrates and explores the effect of selected organophosphates on their enzyme mimetic activity.
