Colorimetry of Total Phenolics with Phosphomolybdic-Phosphotungstic Acid Reagents
American Journal of Enology and Viticulture, 1965Several details of the assay of total phenolic substances have been investigated and an improved procedure developed. The improvements include the use of Folin-Ciocalteu reagent rather than the Folin-Denis reagent, gallic acid as a reference standard ...

Fiber optic systems for colorimetry and scattered colorimetry
SPIE Proceedings, 2005An innovative series of optical fiber sensors based on spectroscopic interrogation is presented. The sensors are customdesigned for a wide range of applications, including gasoline colorimetry, chromium monitoring of sewage, museum lighting control, for use with a platform for interrogating an array of absorption-based chemical sensors, as well as for ...

Colorimetry by Abridged Spectrophotometry
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1949It seems to be generally conceded that the results obtained with a photoelectric colorimeter are significant only when the spectral characteristics of the sample and standard are similar. When this is the case, the selected ordinate method of integrating spectrophotometric data can be greatly abridged, a single selected ordinate being adequate under ...

In order to be able to compare bronze paints with ordinary standards such as Munsell papers, it is necessary to establish conditions of illumination and viewing which will render the metallic reflection inconspicuous. It has been found that completely diffuse illumination and normal viewing are highly satisfactory, and a small integrating sphere has ...

We analyze the sources of error in specifying color in CRT displays. These include errors inherent in the use of the color matching functions of the CIE 1931 standard observer when only colorimetric, not radiometric, calibrations are available. We provide transformation coefficients that prove to correct the deficiencies of this observer very well.
