Structural and electrical transport properties of (La0.7-xYx)Ca0.3MnO3 manganites

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
The effect of yttrium (Y) substitution at La-site on structural, microstructural and electrical transport properties of (La0.7-xYx)Ca0.3MnO3 (x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) were investigated.

Clustered States as a New Paradigm of Condensed Matter Physics

open access: yes, 2003
We argue that several materials of much current interest in condensed matter physics share common phenomenological aspects that only very recent investigations are unveiling.

Anisotropic magnetoresistance in colossal magnetoresistive La1−xSrxMnO3 thin films

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2007
We report on magnetic field and temperature-dependent measurements of the anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) in epitaxial La1−xSrxMnO3 (LSMO) thin films. While in 3d ferromagnetic alloys increasing the magnetization, either by reducing the temperature or increasing the magnetic field, increases the AMR, we find that in LSMO films the AMR dependence on

Intermediate Valence Model for the Colossal Magnetoresistance in Tl_{2}Mn_{2}O_{7}

open access: yes, 1997
The colossal magnetoresistance exhibited by Tl_{2}Mn_{2}O_{7} is an interesting phenomenon, as it is very similar to that found in perovskite manganese oxides although the compound differs both in its crystalline structure and electronic properties from ...

Thermodynamic evidence for polaron stabilization inside the antiferromagnetic order of Eu5In2Sb6

open access: yesCommunications Materials
Materials exhibiting electronic inhomogeneities at the nanometer scale have enormous potential for applications. Magnetic polarons are one such type of inhomogeneity which link the electronic, magnetic and lattice degrees of freedom in correlated matter ...

Influence of length and measurement geometry on magnetoimpedance in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3

open access: yes, 2009
We show that ac magnetoresistance at room temperature in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 is extremely high (= 47% in H = 100 mT, f = 3-5 MHz), and magnetic field dependence of reactance exhibits a double peak behavior.

Magnon Broadening Effect by Magnon-Phonon Interaction in Colossal Magnetoresistance Manganites

open access: yes, 1999
In order to study the magnetic excitation behaviors in colossal magnetoresistance manganites, a magnon-phonon interacting system is investigated. Sudden broadening of magnon linewidth is obtained when a magnon branch crosses over an optical phonon branch.

Relation between thickness, crystallite size and magnetoresistance of nanostructured La1−xSrxMnyO3±δ films for magnetic field sensors

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2019
In the present study the advantageous pulsed-injection metal organic chemical vapour deposition (PI-MOCVD) technique was used for the growth of nanostructured La1−xSrxMnyO3±δ (LSMO) films on ceramic Al2O3 substrates.
