Origin of colossal magnetoresistance in LaMnO 3 manganite [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2015
Significance Magnetoresistance is the change of resistance in the presence of an external magnetic field. In rare-earth manganite compounds, this change is orders of magnitude stronger than usual and it is promising for developing new spintronic and electronic devices. The colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect has been observed

Colossal magnetocapacitance and colossal magnetoresistance in HgCr2S4 [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review letters, 2006
We present a detailed study of the dielectric and charge transport properties of the antiferromagnetic cubic spinel HgCr2S4. Similar to the findings in ferromagnetic CdCr2S4, the dielectric constant of HgCr2S4 becomes strongly enhanced in the region ...

Colossal Magnetoresistance is a Griffiths Singularity [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2002
It is now widely accepted that the magnetic transition in doped manganites that show large magnetoresistance is a type of percolation effect. This paper demonstrates that the transition should be viewed in the context of the Griffiths phase that arises ...

Extreme magnetoresistance at high-mobility oxide heterointerfaces with dynamic defect tunability [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications
Magnetic field-induced changes in the electrical resistance of materials reveal insights into the fundamental properties governing their electronic and magnetic behavior. Various classes of magnetoresistance have been realized, including giant, colossal,

Colossal magnetoresistance of Nd-doped LaCaMnO3 polycrystalline ceramics [PDF]

open access: yesProcessing and Application of Ceramics, 2021
The cation doped polycrystalline compound La0.5Nd0.15Ca0.35MnO3 has been synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction method. The Rietveld analysis of the powder XRD of the composites reveals an orthorhombic structure with Pbnm space group symmetry.

Colossal electroresistance without colossal magnetoresistance in La0.9Sr0.1MnO3 [PDF]

open access: bronzeApplied Physics Letters, 2007
The authors report on colossal electroresistance (ER) in the ferromagnetic insulator manganite La0.9Sr0.1MnO3. The single crystal samples exhibit a transition into a low resistive state above a certain threshold current. Pulsed measurements demonstrate that this transition is not a consequence of heating.
