Colossal magnetoresistance in an ultra-clean weakly interacting 2D Fermi liquid

open access: yes, 2010
We report the observation of a new phenomenon of colossal magnetoresistance in a 40 nm wide GaAs quantum well in the presence of an external magnetic field applied parallel to the high-mobility 2D electron layer.

Nanostructured Manganite Films Grown by Pulsed Injection MOCVD: Tuning Low- and High-Field Magnetoresistive Properties for Sensors Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2022
The results of colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) properties of La0.83Sr0.17Mn1.21O3 (LSMO) films grown by pulsed injection MOCVD technique onto various substrates are presented. The films with thicknesses of 360 nm and 60 nm grown on AT-cut single crystal

Temperature-dependent pseudogaps in colossal magnetoresistive oxides [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2000
Direct electronic structure measurements of a variety of the colossal magnetoresistive oxides show the presence of a pseudogap at the Fermi energy E_F which drastically suppresses the electron spectral function at E_F. The pseudogap is a strong function of the layer number of the samples (sample dimensionality) and is strongly temperature dependent ...

Features of Modeling of the Magnetorefractive Effect in Multilayered Metal Nanostructures

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал, 2019
The magnetorefractive effect (MRE) is important and interesting from both fundamental and practical points of view. This effect consists in a change in the reflection coefficient or the passage of an electromagnetic wave from magnetized structures with ...

Unusually large magnetic moment and tricritical behavior of the CMR compound NaCr2O4 revealed with high resolution neutron diffraction and SR

open access: yesJPhys Materials, 2023
The mixed valence Cr ^3+ /Cr ^4+ compound NaCr _2 O _4 , hosts a plethora of unconventional electronic properties. In the present study, muon spin rotation/relaxation ( $\mu^+$ SR) and high-resolution time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction ...

Visible range colossal magnetorefractive effect in (La1 − y Pr y )2/3Ca1/3MnO3 films

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
We report a colossal magnetorefractive effect (MRE) in epitaxial thin films of a classical colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) manganite, (La _1 −  _y Pr _y ) _2/3 Ca _1/3 MnO _3 ( y  = 0.375 and 0.7).
